Ewelina Małysa was born in 1977. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received the Art Scholarshipsof the City of Cracow (2004) and of the Minister of Culture (2005). In 2007 she completed her doctoral dissertation at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She was awarded with Grand Prix at the art competition the Print of the Year (Cracow, 2003, 2005) and with many distinctions at the Best Print of the Year (Cracow) and the City and a Man Competitions(Poznan, 2003). She got the Mianowski Award of the International Print Triennial in Cracow (2009). Two-time she got the Chrostowska Award and the Distinction of the Polish Print Triennial in Katowice (2006, 2009, 2012). Previously she was working in metal print techniques (etching, aquatint, mezzotint). Now she mostly uses lithography.
The artist had two individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far. She also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: Visible/ Invisible, Turchin Center for Visual Arts, (2012/13 Boone NC, USA).
