Tadeusz Nuckowski was born in 1948 in Przemyśl. In 1969-1974 he studied at the Print Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He graduated with distinction Medal of Rector of the Academy. In 1976-96 he was a director of the State Gallery of Contemporary Art in Przemyśl. In 1995 he stardted to teach. He became a professor of art in 2012. He runs the Print Design Studios at the Art Faculty of the University in Rzeszów and at the State Easteuropean Higher School in Przemyśl. He deals with print, digital print, drawing and collage. He is also engaged in photography, print design and art of book. He had a dozen of individual shows and took part in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He won many awards and distinctions i.a.: III Award of the VIII International Print Biennial in Cracow (1980), the Statutory Award of the II Polish Woodcut and Linocut Quadriennial in Olsztyn (1979), distinction on the All-Polish Print Competition named J.Gielniak in Jelenia Góra (1979, 19881), the II Statutory Award of the XI International Print Biennial in Cracow (young print exhibition „Interdebut”, 1976), the Annual Stroński Award in Przemyśl (2006).
The artist had two individual exhibitions in Jan Fejkiel Gallery so far. He also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: Stone, Metal, Wood, Computer ,Cracow Expo Center(1994); The Element and the Method, Galerie de la C.G.E.R. (1996, Liege), Centrum Manggha (1997, Cracow).
